Destiny Blockers
Hey Loves
I hope you all have had a great week so far and that the rest of the week is prosperous.
Forgive the delay in the delivery of this blog, aside from managing my health during the last stages of my pregnancy, I needed to take a step back and do some self-reflection and be sure of the direction I'm taking.
Sometimes things will happen in life that force you to reflect and make choices as to whether you will stand in your conviction or let people and circumstances block you and your destiny.
I'm learning in this journey that not everyone will understand your calling, purpose or your destiny and to be fair it's not their job to.
If you think you will be liked by everyone that comes across your content or even your presence then you are setting yourself up for disappointment.
When we are called into purpose and we walk in our gifts, talents and abilities, we are sure to be tried and tested. I find the enemy will do all that he can to throw you off course, put you off or even make you question yourself.
Don't you think it's funny that when you are sitting down not doing anything substantial, life-changing or purposeful with your life, no one wants to trouble you, no one is interested in what you are and are not doing.
Yet the moment you start to make a change, the moment you start to grow in faith and find yourself, all of a sudden people have something to say.
I call these destiny blockers, others may call them haters.
In moments like this, I can only encourage you to stand strong in your calling, walk your walk, talk your talk and do it unapologetically.
Another perspective to consider is that this is God, that he allows us to be tried and tested to strengthen us or even to identify whether or not we are serious and willing despite anything to be obedient to the assignment.
I was once told that if you do not have any controversy or opposition you are not doing something right. I mean even the most perfect man to walk the face of this earth was hated simply for existing, so how much more for those of us who are imperfect, right?
We all at some point will face challenging moments that test our character, it's an inevitable part of life. It's how we choose to respond that matters.
Let your success speak for itself, let God defend you, let God defend his word. The bible tells us that he is our ultimate defence in (2 Thessalonians 3:2-3) Pray too, That we will be rescued from the wicked and evil people, for not everyone is a believer. but the Lord is faithful; he will strengthen you and guard you from the evil one.
This scripture gives us an understanding, that many times we can be surrounded by people who are designed specifically to hurt us, yet they walk as wolves in sheep’s clothing pretending to be something they are not, designed to deceive us into thinking they are a friend when they are actually our foe. You may not have done anything to cause this person to be your enemy, but we have to remember who the true enemy is, “For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.” (Ephesians 6:12 ).
The requirement for us is to stay steadfast, stay prayerful, stay committed and stay faithful to the call.
Walking against the grain is a very scary walk, especially when you are unsure of what the journey will entail, however, if you keep your eyes and ears focused on the destination you will probably not even notice half of the things coming at you to throw you off track.
Many of us are walking in relationships with people whether romantic or simply friendships that we have had for years, that are truly unhealthy for us and keeping us from walking in our true purpose.
We fail to recognise these as destiny blockers because these relationships make us feel good and I'm talking in the sense of emotions.
If we truly paid attention to the state of our lives or our current positions could we say entirely that we are where we are meant to be? Some can say yes and that's great but there are a few that are conscious that there are ties that may need to be broken.
Anything or anyone keeping you from walking in your purpose, blocking you from the call of God, Is not worth keeping hold of, as it keeps us from true fulfilment.
Believe it or not, we may have some family members, close friends or relationships that do not even realise that they are being used to keep us from growth.
This could be because your current status of position keeps them comfortable. so they may not intentionally mean to hold you back, the love and need they have for you to keep them at peace, is an unintentional form of loving you right out of your blessings.
Sometimes we need to be willing to get uncomfortable, to take a huge step out of our comfort zone and walk by faith. Nothing good comes as easy as we hoped, and undoubtedly will require a sacrifice or two. but the bible says Just as the body is dead without breath, so also faith is dead without good works (James 2:26).
Your growth and development are a threat to anyone who does not understand and will most definitely rattle the cage of the enemy, and anyone who chooses to make you their enemy.
I encourage you, to keep on shaking that cage until the enemy gets a concussion, stand strong in truth and don't ever be sorry or sad for walking in your God-given purpose because no one will or can get you to success but you and God.
Don't allow anyone or anything to use you as a stepping stone on their way up to success, This is a term known as "Crabs in a bucket".
If you have any unhealthy relationships, set your boundaries and free up room for your destiny helpers.
People's opinions of you do not define you, they do not by any means have the final say over your life unless you give them that power. You are an eagle who can and should rise above the chickens who find purpose in tearing people down.
Simply love them from a distance (i.e the air from your bird's eye view) and leave them to be around other chickens.
In all seriousness pray for them, because only hurt people, hurt people.
I understand and appreciate that my story, my truth, my call, my purpose, my blogs and even my faith is not for everyone but I know without a shadow of a doubt it's for someone, even if it is just one... therefore I will continue to do what I was called to do and il watch God do the rest, this I will not be sorry for.
Let's be mindful of ourselves also, let's be sure that we lift up and not tear down, we encourage and not discourage, we elevate and not hate, and let's congratulate one another's successes. Iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend, (Proverbs 27:17).
Thank you to everyone who takes the time to read these blogs, and for the encouragement, support and prayers.
I appreciate you all.
Love to all x

Oh Wow! What insightful, honest and thought provoking content. This blog really causes me to question myself, motives, purpose and journey. I too am a Christian with a calling but feel I have let complacency, set backs and people opinions steer me away from my purposes. I really want to redirect and focus on what God has called me to intentionally and obediently.. thank you woman of God. Keep being youππΎ
